About our clubhouse

It is a Georgian Revival.  In 1898 The American Architect and Building News began a series called "The Georgian Period." This and similar ventures led to a wide understanding of the prototypes on which the Georgian Revival style was based. The features of the style have been described as symmetrical composition enriched with classical detail.  Features include:
  1. Paneled front door, usually centered and capped by an elaborate decorative crown supported by decorative pilasters. The main door is the principal ornamental feature of the Georgian facade.

  2. A row of small rectangular panes of glass beneath the crown, either within the door or in a transom just above.
  3. Cornice emphasized by decorative moldings, most commonly tooth-like dentils
.
  4. Windows with double-hung sashes having many small panes, usually nine or twelve panes per sash, separated by thick wooden muntins.
  5. Windows aligned horizontally and vertically in symmetrical rows.
